Breaking from Classical Traditions
We had the privilege of hosing the incredible Violist Lauren Spaulding for her progressive solo project. Lauren plays in several ensembles, including the Talla Rouge Duo, and the Thalea String Quartet. Her ensembles are currently in residence at such prestigious universities as Harvard and the University of Maryland, respectively.
In pre-production, we discussed the merits of breaking with classical music video recording traditions, and took a leap to design a beautiful lighting backdrop that would showcase the many moods and colors of the first movement of the Cassado cello suite.
